About Us

Who we are, where we come from, and where we're headed

Who we are

Our church family is just that; a family. Made up of many people of various backgrounds, talents, and histories. Yet here we can come together in all our faults, and join in unity around Christ. Simply put, we're a place where you can connect, belong and become the person that God made you to be.

Where we come from

The Edgerton Church of Christ was started in 1864 in a building on Indiana St. We moved to our current location in 1976.

Where we're headed

More than ever, we're committed to a becoming a place where you can connect, belong and become who God intended you to be. We want people to be saved and find a family that they'll be with forever.

What this means for you

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at The Edge. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of the Edgerton CoC family.

Our Staff

Jeff & his wife, Lisa

Jeff and Lisa joined the ministry here as our minister in December of 2021. Though they came here from southern Illinois, Jeff and Lisa both grew up in this area. Lisa graduated from DeKalb HS and Jeff from Garrett HS. They were married in 1989 and have two children, Austin and Amber. Amber is married to Aaron and they have one child (the best grandchild ever!), Grayson.

Jeff spent over 17 years on staff at a church in southern Illinois, first as a Worship Minister, and, for the past 6 years, as an Associate Minister. Prior to that, he was a Campus Minister at the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University with Active Christians Today. He graduated from Great Lakes Christian College and has been doing ministry ever since.

Jeff and Lisa both enjoy home remodeling and spending quiet evenings at home. Lisa loves to read and is getting back to her cross-stitch. Even after being a Worship Minister, Jeff still loves music. He plays guitar, piano, and has been a drummer (according to his mom) since he was a little kid. He also enjoys cooking and woodworking.
